HFCU has just made Internet Branch more secure with the introduction of Enhanced Login Security. This free and easy way to help prevent fraud is available to all HFCU Internet Branch users.
When using Internet Branch, simply click on User Options and Enhanced Login Security. Set up your “challenge questions” and you're all set. It’s that simple – the next time you login it’s business as usual. The rest of your Internet Branch experience will remain exactly the same.
This superior security technology protects your accounts from unauthorized access. It identifies you as the true “owner” of your accounts by recognizing not only your password but your computer as well. If we don’t recognize your computer – you’ve logged in from a public computer or one you haven’t used before, for example – we’ll ask you challenge questions as an additional line of defense to prevent unauthorized access.
With Enhanced Login Security, you’ll be protected from whatever computer you're using, whether you're at home or on the go.
If you have any questions about Enhanced Login Security, please contact us at hfcu@hersheyfcu.org or (717) 533-9174 ext.0.
HFCU members who use Internet Branch can now view and print copies of their checks online. The check images are available to members when they view their share draft account history and click on the blue check number. Checks posted to accounts since August 28, 2006 are available online. If Internet Branch users need a copy of a check that posted prior to August 28, they should contact HFCU’s Member Services Department. There is no charge for the online check images.
Routine maintenance for HFCU Internet Branch is completed on Thursdays from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m.. During the maintenance, Internet Branch may be unavailable.
When you change your email address, please remember to change it under User Options and Notifications. If you do not change your email address for any existing Notifications, you may never receive the Notifications. HFCU is not responsible for Notifications not received due to incorrect email addresses.
Important Information about Quicken: Intuit, the maker of Quicken, has decided to not allow the importing of .QIF files starting with Quicken 2005. Because Internet Branch uses the .QIF format for downloading account history, Internet Branch users who use Quicken will not be able to download account history if they upgrade to Quicken 2005. We recommend that Internet Branch users continue to use the older versions of Quicken or switch to Microsoft Money.
To ensure the highest level of Internet security, it is extremely important that you keep your browsers updated with the most current version and that you download security patches as they are released.
Anti-Virus Software: The news is full of stories about new viruses or “worms” that seem to crop up regularly. It is very important that you keep your anti-virus software up-to-date with the most current version available.
