 Merlin is HFCU's "magical" automated telephone service and is available FREE to our members 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you live in the greater Hershey and Lebanon areas, you can reach Merlin at (717) 533-9174 or (717) 272-6400 extension 1.
To use Merlin, all you need is your HFCU account number, Merlin PIN and a touch-tone phone.
- Check Account Balances
- Review your recent transactions, including checks and HFCU Check Card transactions
- Withdraw Money by Check
- Transfer money between accounts, including loan payments
- Determine if a draft (check) has cleared
- Obtain loan information and make line-of-credit advances
- Determine dividend information
- Get current rate informaion
- You must use a touch-tone phone.
- Your HFCU account number can be found on your HFCU statement.
- When you access Merlin for the first time, please use the last four digits of your Social Security Number as your PIN. For security purposes, please change your PIN the first time you use Merlin.
- If you lose or forget your PIN, please contact HFCU.
- Most transactions require you to enter the # symbol after the transaction. Please listen to the instructions until you become familiar with the procedure.
- You may do more than one transaction per call.
- You must enter dollars and cents. (Example: Merlin reads 5000 as $50.00) A decimal point is automatically placed in front of the last two digits entered.
- Due to federal regulations, you are limited to a total of six (6) automated transactions (STAR®, Merlin, EFT and overdraft transfers) on regular share accounts per month. Share draft "checking" accounts are not subject to this regulation.
